Peer support groups

Stonewall Recovery

Tuesdays at 6:00pm Mountain Time

Stonewall Recovery is a group of peers striving for healing and recovery in all areas of our lives, especially our struggles with addiction. Please contact brian@borderlandrainbow.org to attend a virtual support group. This group is designed to serve the needs of LGBT folks and their allies who are struggling with substances. Join a recovery community where you can be supported in your whole identity. We seek to use as many recovery tools, strategies, and techniques that work for each individual. We are an honest, safe, low-pressure, trauma-informed, intersectional space, where the participants share their story, strength, hope, and love. We learn and heal by listening to each other. It is possible to call in, or use the app, using the camera, or just audio if you would prefer not to be on screen. Contact brian@borderlandrainbow.org

Trans Adults

Mondays at 7:00pm Mountain Time

Transgender adults, and the people who love them, face a different range of challenges than their younger counterparts. They grew up at a time where there was substantially less visibility for transgender people. It was also a time where there was less access to gender-affirming care. In general, communities made up of older adults are also more conservative, which may make them less accepting. Because of this, the life experiences of, and choices made by, older transgender adults can be hard to understand by younger transgender people and allies. Contact brenda@borderlandrainbow.org

HIV Support Groups

2nd Sundays at 3:00pm Mountain Time and 3rd Wednesdays at 7:00pm Mountain Time

Great news! We are now providing private support groups for people living with HIV. Many individuals are told to focus on their physical health after getting a positive result for an HIV test, but it's also SO important that you take care of your mental wellbeing too! These groups will provide individuals with solidarity and tools to empower and heal yourself. Contact HIVservices@borderlandrainbow.org
