My mother would say to me, "Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping." To this day, especially in times of disaster, I remember my mother's words, and I am always comforted by realizing that there are still so many helpers — so many caring people in this world.

WAYS TO GET INVOLVED

Mondays: grocery distribution to 400+ households

Wednesdays + Fridays: transport food from pantry

Fridays: prep for following week's distribution

Being present at events as a resource in and to the community

Communicating our purpose, services, and upcoming events

Making support for the Queer and Trans community visible in the region

Free community gathering on the 2nd Sunday of each month

Set up, serve, break down, and clean up brunch

We are always looking for new volunteers at The Center! Opportunities include helping with one-time projects or staffing ongoing events — more details will be provided during your Volunteer Orientation and Training.​​​
