As a parent/caregiver, you can improve your relationship with your child, and become a source of strength.
The Borderland Rainbow Center is a nonprofit, interfaith source of information and support in Texas for parents and caregivers of LGBTQIA+ and questioning young people, as well as the young people themselves. We provide educational resources, support groups, advocacy, interfaith learning and cooperation, and collaboration and partnerships with LGBTQIA+ organizations and agencies. We offer free online support groups, including groups for parents and caregivers, professionally facilitated by members of our staff, that meet regularly via Zoom.

REFLECTION ACTIVITIES
Researchers at Yale School of Public Health are testing free, individual online reflection activities to help parents/caregivers improve their connections with their LGBTQ+/questioning children. There are three brief, solo reflection activities, and all parents/caregivers can engage in them. There is an additional research study component for parents who are interested and eligible. Click here to participate in the study.

PARENTS SUPPORTING PARENTS
Offering parent-to-parent support group meetings and more since 1973, PFLAG chapters are located throughout the country and online. Find your local chapter here on PFLAG’s website or check out PFLAG El Paso, which has an in-person support group that meets at our center!

Find embracing members of your faith here, through Strong Family Alliance, with resources for support within over 45 religions and denominations.

TRANS/NONBINARY/QUESTIONING KIDS
